Recently, the Lou Qinjian,who is vice minister of the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry, and responsible persons of the Chinese minister of Science and Technology said
ITU will collect for the 4G standards in the next year, China is actively making preparations.
It is reported that from 2000 ITU has started the research of 4G and has preliminarily determined the candidate band.In the second half of this year, the World Radiocommunications Conference will make a final decision. ITU will begin to prepare the world for "3G" technology candidate in 2008.
