Chinese, Confucian, Confucianism, Religion
Fu Peirong, the scholar of Taiwan, recently has two-day lectures in Beijing, he said that the Chinese confucianism is not a religion, it is a very bad trend to treat the confucian doctrine as religion, this trend will lead people give up their thinking and replace senses with irrational fanaticism,
Mr Fu opposes any tendency which treat confucianism as religion, and he advocate to resume the original concept of confucianism, he said if we treat Confucius as a person who has rich philosophy, we can comfortably explore Confucian doctrine for its real contents. Real wisdom comes from rational thinking ,it is the same when we in the face of Confucianism. Real Confucianism, absolutely not a religion.
