On September 15th, 2007, Beijing LUG has organized the Beijing Software Freedom Day together with COPU, CSIP, CSIA and Ubuntu LocoTeam in Tsinghua University. Its objective is to promote and spread the spirit of FREE Software among the students and teachers in Beijing.

In early August, a website buy the operating system 007OS on RMB 2,000,000. 007OS is created by Xu Shaohuang and his term. Xu is a third-grade student of the computer college, and working on the website now.
